What is Mast-Based Elevated Photography?

It is a form of low level aerial photography without the need for aircraft. A pneumatic telescoping mast allows elevations from 10ft to 50ft.

How do you control the camera?

Fully functional wireless controls allow use of a pan/tilt head. Nikon software and special transmitters show images on a computer monitor In the base vehicle, and full adjustment of all camera and lens settings.

Are there physical or site limitations?

Yes – Overhead wires, trees, very uneven ground, wind and cold can limit base areas and shooting conditions. However, the small, lightweight trailer can be moved by hand onto lawns without damage.

What does it cost?

RATES vary depending on the type of project, extent of use license issued, specifics of location, day or night, and other varying factors. Expenses, such as lighting rental, transportation, assistant, may be extra. Please call for a quote. The following is a guideline:

*HTP has the basic 2-shot ‘Virtual Tour’ equipment and software and offers these mainly to real estate, FSBO and some hotel clients. These will show in small windows at low resolution with little photographic merit. They are fast and easy to take and produce, hence are offered at lower rates.
